Poppy, born and raised in Seattle, Washington, developed an interest in architecture through the field’s unique blend of art and technicality. Her love of creating art, combined with her curiosity about how the built environment impacts people and communities, made architecture an obvious choice to pursue in college.
She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Architecture at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. While she has not yet specialized in a specific niche within architecture, she hopes to deepen her knowledge of sustainability in building assemblies and materials, particularly in how thoughtful material selection and construction methods can contribute to more responsible and resilient design. This summer at Freiheit, Poppy will be working with the Townhome team while also assisting with marketing initiatives.
Outside of the office, Poppy enjoys hiking, distance running, surfing, drawing, and cooking. A few items on her bucket list include backpacking through Southeast Asia, summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, and running the Honolulu Marathon.
