Architectural Designer 2 / Architect 2

Full Time / Salary Range: $79,000 to $106,000 per year

Position based in Bellevue. Some regional travel is necessary.

FREIHEIT’s Architectural Designer 2 / Arch 2 serves as a trusted team member of the project team, supporting the shared goals of thoughtfully preparing design and documentation to communicate design intent.  Using judgement to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard architectural techniques, procedures and criteria for the built environment, our Architectural Designer 2 / Arch 2 supports larger project teams by demonstrating knowledge, learning, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project design
• Responsible for technical aspects of the project
• Able to carry out independent research and documentation
• Coordinate all trades and agencies related to building design while monitoring drawings
• Assess the project deliverables and the processes to achieve project goals and champions these to success
• Produce convincing presentations to illustrate projects to clients using a variety of methods
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Support project delivery by assisting in day-to-day management and serving as a reliable resource to junior team members and taking ownership of tasks
• Guide, develop, and produce SOQ packages
• Mentor colleagues: Be a go-to resource and mentor to peers and junior staff, seeks personal growth through collaboration, feedback, and knowledge-sharing

Qualifications

• Accredited professional architecture degree (B. Arch or M. Arch)
• 4+ years of experience in a professional architecture firm
• General understanding of design documents, conceptual through Construction Documents
• Familiarity with building, life-safety, energy, and zoning codes
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup (InDesign a plus)
