Architectural Designer 3 / Architect 3
Full Time / Salary Range: $93,000 to $128,000 per year
Position based in Bellevue. Some regional travel is necessary.
FREIHEIT’s Architectural Designer 3 / Arch 3 serves as a valuable team member often making majority of day to day decisions on projects. Demonstrating confidence on aspects regarding architectural presentations, detailing, building materials, and building & zoning codes. This position supports larger projects in partnership with Principals, leads smaller projects.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Designer / Architect to actively contribute to the design of multiple projects. In this pivotal role, you will take the lead in guiding the architectural team to produce compelling presentations and comprehensive documentation throughout all project phases. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, a positive and collaborative team member, and a confident leader in group discussions, ensuring the team remains focused on the on-time delivery of key project milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Main point of contact for internal team, consultants, and clients
- Develop and manage project design
- Sets goals and timelines for the project
- Manage project task deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Coordinate all trades and agencies related to building design while monitoring drawings
- Contract management
- Draft goals and timelines for entire project team
- Assess the project deliverables and the processes to achieve project goals and champions these to success
- Produce convincing presentations to illustrate projects to clients using a variety of methods
- Assist with Proposal and Contract development
- Lead and support internal teams by setting clear expectations, fostering collaboration across disciplines, and helping deliver well-coordinated, integrated design solutions
- Manages Quality Control on projects
- Be a go-to resource and mentor to peers and junior staff, fostering growth through collaboration, feedback, and knowledge-sharing
Qualifications
- Accredited professional architecture degree (B. Arch or M. Arch)
- 8+ years of experience in a professional architecture firm
- Thorough and comprehensive understanding of design documents, conceptual design through Construction Documents
- Familiarity with detailing and industry adopted documentation standards
- Proficient application of building code, accessibility standards, life-safety, and zoning codes
- Familiarity with a variety of building systems
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, MS Projects
